LUCHA LEONESA

The fight also called aluches León, is a sport of the oldest on the continent indigenous to the province of León. They fight in pairs, similar to the Canarian wrestling or sumo Japanese and the struggle takes place with in a circle about 17 meters in diameter.


Wrestlers should wear shorts and short shirt. They can not wear shoes and no socks fighting forces. Typically, they carry a leather belt 2cm wide. This belt is placed around the waist encircling all, above the hip, so as to be easily gripped by the adversary


The goal is, through certain techniques called tricks, make the opponent touch the ground with any part of

the back, which will be dropped. If you manage to touch the ground with your belly or arms, half drop is achivied. It also gives the opponent a fall because of loose belt. Earn the first to get 2 whole falls.


The summer league is individual and has four categories: light (-68), medium (-78), mediopesados (-88) and heavy (+88). Also for children who want to participate in this league is a local sport league called base and is divided into categories of age and weight.


The season ends with the traditional circle "Ribera VS Mountain" celebrates a year in the mountains and one in the bank, these teams are divided by the railway line of FEVE ( León - Bilbao). Where the score changes as the battle is to a fall or 4/2 and timeless, the team that maintains at least a fighter in the ring (called the cock of the circle).
