TAPEO LEONÉS

In north of Spain, "tapear" is an important gastronomic tradition.
Also "tapear" is very funny way of eating. This custom is very important in León, because is very deep-rooted since many years ago.

"Tapear" lies in a particular way of eating, that is based on little meals which are called "pinchos".

"Pinchos" are a big funny for many people in León.
People used to go the bars to drink some beers with friends at night and to eat "pinchos" which are free with the beer.

There are too many variarities of "pinchos" depending on the bar where people go like meat, fish, fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce, French chicken and somme food that is typical in León, like croquettes, alioli potatoes, garlic soap, octopus with potatoes, etc.

There are somme typical drinks that people who go to "tapeo" used to drink in León, like spanish beers, german beers, irish beers, austrian beers, etc; gaseous orange juice, non-alcoholic beverage like Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Burn, Sweeps, etc, but, in fact, people who used to go "tapeo" usually drink typical local wines of León, like "Prieto Picudo".

In the future, if you could visit León, we recommended all of you to comme to "Barrio Húmedo" in centre of the city. This place is a part of the old town of the city and it's where ara stood most of the best bars where people can eat "tapas". This are bars like: San Martín, Río Sol, Patatas Blas, Alejandría, etc.

"Tapa" is delicious! Isn't it?
